Young children in their most formative years, should be supported and their creative expression nurtured, as they are introduced to all the wonderful,
rich, colourful, imaginative & expressive facets of the creative art world.
Robyn’s Room provides a different and alternative approach to standardised
art programs. A platform, wherein children can experience and explore art,
in their own way and without the usual expectations and judgements.
This quintessential philosophy passionately drives the delivery of Robyn’s Room quality and specialist Art programs.
Children should be encouraged to discover the principles of art in ways that foster discovery of their own ideas, communication, exploration, new ways of seeing things and different ways of doing. It is pivotal that children can learn to change the contrived status quo and acknowledge that their ideas and art are theirs and not ours.
Children’s creative freedom is kept alive, by the facilitated art activities. Activities which are fun, interactive, exciting, interesting, challenging, stimulating, open-ended, inspire imagination and most certainly, tactile.
How can children possibly understand paint and other mediums if they are unable to experience the sensory capacities? Robyn’s Room sessions are delivered in such a way that the children embrace art, in a whole new level.
Robyn’s Room unique art programs and incursions are offered to kindergartens and childcare centres for 3–5 year-olds. Through my provision of these creative opportunities within their daily lives, the children freely immerse themselves in, explore and manipulate art materials and tools. They then develop a strong sense of well-being, build self-esteem and confidence as they find and truly value their own creative worth. This sense of creative worth continues to grow and strengthen, as does their interest and enthusiasm and the way they express themselves. Robyn's Room can tailor the specialist incursions to suit your children and your centre.
* Recommended minimum half hour sessions for 3-5 yr olds and groups of 8 to 17 (subject to space /room allocated).
*Incursions include set up /pack up facilitation, ( usual ratio and room support required), full programming and planning with resources prepared and supplied.
